Atlas Twp.- The township board of trustees OK’d the purchase of $4,600 in new computers for the township fire department. In addition, as of Aug. 20 the board also authorized the new fire department Web site atlastownshipfire.org.
Township Fire Chief Steve Bullen said the new site is an update.
“The Website will make burn permit application much simpler,” said Bullen. “It will be updated regularly and provide notices to the community regarding burn permits. The permit is good for one year and if there are any changes we can now notify the user.”
