Buck’s Dollar and More store opened Nov. 15, and for owners Mike and Rita Skelly the new 4,000-square foot store located in the Oakwood Plaza near Bueche’s Food World fills a special niche in the local market.
‘There’s no dollar store in the area so when this building came available it was just perfect,? said Rita. ‘We offer more than 1,000 items and even if we don’t have something in stock we’ll post a ‘hot-list? so customers can let us know what else to order.?
With 97 percent of items $1, Buck’s Dollar &More store offers a well-rounded variety, including Christmas decorations, kitchen aids and snacks.
‘The business will stay independent of the dollar store franchises available in the market,? said Mike. ‘That factor will allow us to remain flexible with just what the community wants.?
