Five new teachers hired

Growth at Brandon High School is on the rise and school officials say as many as five new teachers are needed.
Teachers in English, mathematics, music, science and social studies will be added as the high school class continues to escalate.
‘During the last five years a lot of new people moved to the community and now it’s reflected in the enrollment,? said Bart Jenniches, Brandon school district superintendent.
Early reports indicated a major increase for the freshman class where more than 300 students will now enter the high school.
‘The current freshman class is also large,? said Beth Nuccio, Brandon School board president.
‘The largest problem we’ll run into next year is lunches’the cafeteria is just not big enough. But, the size of the high school is plenty to handle the influx of students. We’re glad they built it the size they did back in the 1980s. That’s paying off now.?
