RICE, HEIDI SUE of Ortonville; died May 8, 2018.  She was 50. 

Born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 11, 1967 to Gerald and Wanda (Talbee) Metro.  She married David Rice on April 30, 1988 in Troy, Michigan.  She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, David Rice; two children, Noah and Hannah Rice; parents, Gerald and Wanda Metro; one sister, Tracey (Spencer) Huebshman; parents-in-law, Paul and Ruth Ann Bishop; grandparents, Ponzella (the late Fred) King; brother-in-law’s, Christopher (Danielle) Rice and Michael (Mary) Rice; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Heidi was a 1985 graduate of Avondale High School.  She worked as a seamstress at Vaughn Custom Sports. Heidi loved life and art which she expressed in her photography and craft designs. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME–ORTONVILLE 135 South St., Ortonville. Pastor Ken Tison, officiating.  Interment will follow at Ortonville Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to GCS Project http://gcsproject.org/donate/  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
