NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AUGUST 15, 2016 at 5:30 P.M.

PART OF THE SHINANGUAG EAST LAKE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION FOR PARCELS ON HILLS LANE, HILLS COVE, ISLAND DRIVE AND PARCELS DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO STATE RD.

FOR REPAVING/PAVING REPAIRS

TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ATLAS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS.

SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR ROAD REPAIRS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE,

in accordance with PA 188 of 1954, the Township Board will consider the creation of a special assessment district comprised of parcels with lineal frontage of Hills Lane, Hills Cove, Island Drive and State Rd. for repaving/paving repairs the described roads. Further, the Township Supervisor was directed to prepare the Special Assessment Roll allocating the estimated expenses equally among the lots within the District and has submitted that roll, which is on file and available for review in the Township Clerk’s Office. The current estimated cost for the project is approximately One Hundred Thirty Four Thousand Forty Eight and 00/100 ($134,048.00) Dollars. The estimated per lot cost including a 10% administrative fee and 5% interestis approximately $3505.00.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE,

the District, which includes the following parcels, will incur the cost of repairs, administrative expenses and interest. Assessments may be paid in full by November 15, 2016 with no interest, or in five (5) annual installments, including simple interest at a rate of five percent (5%). The lots comprising the District to be assessed are more specifically identified by the following Tax Parcel Numbers:
