NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Village of Ortonville will be holding a public hearing on January 23, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in conjunction with its regularly scheduled meeting at 395 Mill Street, Ortonville, Michigan.

This hearing will be regarding the proposed amendment of several sections of Chapter 4.3 of the Village of Ortonville Zoning Ordinance. This chapter covers the type, size, and standards of signs placed in the Village of Ortonville. In addition, amendments will be considered that will address illumination of an LED sign to be no greater than 0.3 footcandles at the source above ambient light, require certification from the sign manufacturer/applicant for compliance to industry standards, and require a light intensity default to be a dark screen or shut off.

This meeting is open to the public under the Michigan Open Meetings Act.
