A total of 2,158 were cast with 74.85 percent of village registered voters.
Moore filed the request to the Board of County Canvassers on Nov. 16.

“I believe and possess in good faith that I would have a chance of winning that election,” wrote Moore in a statement to the board of canvassers. “I believe there has been an error either in the absentee ballot’s Precincts 4 or both precincts 4.
John Gleason, Genesee County clerk said the recount is forthcoming.
“The petition has been filed for the recount,” said John Gleason, Genesee County Clerk. “Right now we have to wait until the state board of canvassers certifies the results for the state. It could be a week or so yet.”
Gleason said the cost of the recount for the one precinct will not be known until it’s complete.
“The recount will be done by hand and the public is invited to attend,” he said.
