Brandon’s boys soccer team wasted no time getting in the win column.
Seniors Tony Chester and Joey Smith and sophomore Ryan Morales each scored two goals as the visiting Blackhawks routed North Branch 10-0 in their Aug. 20 season opener.
Four other Blackhawks ? senior Chris Hunter, junior Chris Barth, sophomore Matt Thomas, and junior Tyler Cole ? tallied goals in the contest.
Senior Steve Kumpar earned the win in goal for Brandon.
The Blackhawks traveled to Pontiac Notre Dame Prep for an Aug. 25-26 tournament. Brandon took on Ann Arbor Greenhills on Aug. 25, with the winner of that game scheduled to take on the winner of the Notre Dame Prep-Oakland Christian contest in the Aug. 26 championship game.
