School bells began ringing for most students in Lake Orion on Aug. 30 (Year-round Carpenter Elementary School students went back to class on Aug. 4), and their teachers were hard at work the week before preparing for their arrival.
Lake Orion teachers went back to class officially on Aug. 26 to get their rooms ready.
Many had already been working long before then to make sure everything was ready for students to come back to class.
