Goodrich’s girls basketball team was on the victorious end of a couple of blowouts in a week’s span.
The Martians defeated host Byron 66-17 on Sept. 14 to improve to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in Genesee Area Conference play.
Julie Owen and Nykole Pfaff led the Martians with 11 points each.
On Sept. 9, the Martians cruised to a 60-18 win against host Oxford to improve to 3-0 on the season.
The Martians were in control of the game from the start, outscoring the Wildcats 18-7 in the first quarter and taking a 38-10 lead at the half.
Tara Garman led Goodrich with 12 points, while Pfaff added 10.
Goodrich’s next contest is Tuesday, Sept. 21 when they host LakeVille.
