The Brandon varsity competitive cheer team wrapped up their season Saturday, Mar. 4, placing fifth out of 12 teams in Class A regional competitive cheer action at Brighton.
The Blackhawks finished with 576.9 points, just behind fourth-place Northville with 579.4 points. Hartland won the regional event with 696.5 points, while Brighton was second with 676.2 points. The top two teams in regionals advance to the state meet.
Brandon senior Tiffany Harding was honored with a spot on the All Region Team for the 2005-06 season.
Coach Jamie Kapp said this season has been one of great advancements and growth for the team. The team’s record in each of their meets is as follows:
‘Oxford Invitational ? sixth place; First Flint Metro League Meet ? second place; Second League Meet ? third place (second overall in the league); Meridian Competition ? second place; Lahser Invitational ? fourth place; Regionals? fifth place.
