Lake Orion’s Megan Clemence shot an 81 to claim the final of 13 tournaments in the Top 50 Junior Tour for Southeast Michigan last Wednesday at the Paint Creek Country Club.
Clemence finished tied for fourth in the Girls 16 & Older division of the tour with 313 points.
LO’s Maggie Hughes placed third at the Paint Creek event in the Girls 15 & Under division with a 103. She finished the tour in fourth place with 249 points, 40 points back of Oakland Township’s Gabrielle Yurik, who shot an 87 to win the final event by nine shots.
In the Boys 16 & Older division, Brent Yurik of Oakland shot 74 to place second and secure a 10th place finish overall with 303 points. LO’s Andrew Bogus shot an 88 and wrapped up tour play with a top-14 finish (193 points).
LO’s Kyle Wesley finished 18th in the Boys 15 & Under division, netting 209 points, including his 99 at PCCC last week.
Temperatures reached 98 degrees during the round.
