Monday, Sept. 7, a 23 year-old Brandon Township woman was ticketed for retail fraud on S. Baldwin Road. According to reports the woman stepped into a store’s dressing room with merchandise visible, and when she exited the dressing room/store they were not visible. She was found to have 66 items with her, valued at $1,901.98
Some vandal ‘lawn-jobbed? greens at an area golf course on Newman Road.
Sunday, Sept. 6, a RidgeView Court resident reported vandals spray painted his black 2010 Mazda 3 with blue spray paint. Vulgar words and a picture was painted . . . deputies discovered two other vehicles in the sub had also been spray painted.
Saturday, Sept. 5, a 21-year-old Independence Township man was arrested after running his car off of Baldwin Road, just south of Sandoval. Upon further investigation, Oakland County Deputies discovered it was the man’s second such offense, and a ‘small? amount of marijuana on his possession. His car was impounded.
A 43-year-old Lake Orion male was arrested for disorderly conduct outside a S. Lapeer Road drinking establishment.
Friday, Sept. 4, a concerned citizen called the dispatch center after witnessing a male subject in a gray Pontiac Grand Am, hitting the female driver of that car — and that the car was swerving ‘all over? the road. Upon investigation, deputies discovered the male, a 29-year-old Orion Township man, was upset with his mother for not letting him drive the Grand Am.
Thursday, Sept. 3, a 25-year-old Orion Township man was arrested on W. Pine Tree Road for disorderly conduct.
Wednesday, Sept. 2, the stop sign at RidgeView Circle and Wheatfield Circle was vandalized. The stop sign was spray painted with the word ‘go.?
A local vet contacted the substation concerning a prescription for Hydrocodone. According to reports, the vet was contacted by a local pharmacist — who, after filling said prescription for 90, 325 mg tablets — was suspicious. Deputies are investigating. When ‘Googled,? on the internet, this is what was learned about the drug: ‘Hydrocodone is an effective antitussive (anti-cough) agent, and as an opiate it is also an effective analgesic for mild to moderate pain control. Five mg of hydrocodone is equivalent to 30 mg of codeine when administered orally. Early comparisons concluded that hydrocodone and morphine were equipotent for pain control in humans. However, it is now considered that a dose of 15 mg (1/4 gr) of hydrocodone is equivalent to 10 mg (1/6 gr) of morphine. Hydrocodone is considered to be morphine-like in all respects?
A 31-year-old Pontiac woman was arrested and taken to Oakland County 52-3 District Court for four outstanding warrants and for attempted retail fraud from a S. Baldwin Road store.
A deputy noticed a black Chevy Cavilier, with tinted windows, had an expired license plate. The driver was approached by the deputy after exiting a S. Lapeer Road pizza business. The 23-year-old Oxford Township (with lots of tattoos on his face) could not produce registration or insurance papers . . . and it was discovered he carried a three-and-a-half-inch, doubled-bladed knife. The man was cited for weapons violation.
Two 15-year-old Orion Township youths, were taken into custody and returned to their grandfather early this morning. The duo were spotted by and rode away from deputies near Friendship Park. They were again spotted, stopped and taken into custody around 2:30 by other deputies. The two admitted to sneaking out of their home after curfew, and using a cell phone they had stolen a few weeks earlier.
Youths from Orion and Oxford townships were cited for trespassing and for being minors in possessing of alcohol. They had been partying in a field off of Pinery Boulevard.

Monday, Sept. 7, a woman came to the police station to report a strange man was following her.
Sunday, Sept. 6, a mysterious, unmanned boat was discovered floating by the Bellevue Bridge. Officers found the boat, tied it up and contacted the Rochester owner.
A S. Broadway Street gas station attendant reported a man was ‘laying down in his parking lot.?
Friday, Sept. 4, drug paraphernalia found in a yard on E. Jackson Street.
A witness from E. Shadbolt Street called in an attempted duck-napping. Apparently a man had grabbed a duck, put it in his truck, and then let the duck go. Upon further investigation, Lake Orion Police officers discovered the man had thought he could restock his pond with ducks — which he could have been arrested for. Instead he was given a strong verbal warning, not only from the police, but his wife, too.
Thursday, Sept. 3, (11:56 a.m.) property damage accident on Lake Orion, near Heights Road . . . classified as boat versus dock.
