Dear Editor,
(In response to: ‘Drowning bowls, Haiti and tolerance: a recap,? The Citizen, Feb.13, page 7).
Cats are so freakin? funny and I think a lot of them are mentally ill but that’s why they are so cool. I think they’re emotional, too.
I bet you will get tons of crazy cat stories in your responses…I’ve got quite a few of my own. I had a gray cat who thought she was a dog. She was very vocal and had to be let out with the dog to do her business. Very friendly and the whole neighborhood was in love with her. Not using the litter box isn’t a bad deal. She used the doggy door to bring in live birds, chipmunks, mice, snakes, squirrels, frogs, big bugs. My son got to be quite good at catching birds. That’s what I think your cat is doing. He’s a hunter who is bringing you ‘gifts? and now he’s washing them for you. I had another cat who was left in the house alone for a week. When we got home, she just ‘screamed? at us for hours. There was strewn paper towels and toilet paper everywhere. Paper and magazines shredded. Things knocked off tables. She was pissed.
My sister has a klepto cat. He steals things and then runs and hides it. He steals tampons, hair ties, dusting rags, keys….all day long and during the night. She can’t leave anything out and has given up on a christmas tree.
Yeah, cats are crazy cool. Really, good column, dude….
