Springfield Oaks County Park hosts Armed Forces Day, May 15. The park, 12451 Andersonville Road in Springfield Township, opens at 11 a.m.
Activities include games, military displays, live music, moon walks, crafts, special guests, and food. A 20-member pull team competition starts at 1 p.m., and ceremony honoring the troops is at 4 p.m.
All proceeds go to Our Burdens Rest, a memorial to Michigan’s fallen soldiers to be built in Kalkaska.
