More than 100 breast cancer survivors and many local Clarkston businesses attended the Breast Health Event at the Great Lakes Cancer Institute in Independence Township, Oct. 2.
Speakers included Nichoel Wasik, 10-year breast cancer survivor from Clarkston; Dr. Farid Fata, hematologist and oncologist from Michigan Hematology Oncology; and Dr. Lindsey Gold, advances in breast cancer surgery.
Participants also toured the McLaren Health Care Village’s Garden of Healing and Renewal, and enjoyed a tea and luncheon.
