A public hearing will be held on April 21 at 8 p.m. at Orion Township Hall on the recommendations of the Community Development Block Grant Committee’s for reprogramming of funds.
The committee recommends using CDBG funds for grading and paving existing pathway and paint stripes for six handicap parking spaces at Friendship Park. An estimate for the project is $20,750. The committee recommends reprogramming the following funds to pay for the project:
Take $1,000 from Barrier Free Improvements (Ramp Program); take $1,385 from Emergency Rehab (Emergency Home Repair); take $9,376 from Emergency Rehab (Emergency Home Repair); and take $8,989 from Public Facilities and Improvements (Senior Center). Any project costs exceeding the reprogrammed funds would come from the parks and recreation budget.
