Pleasant Ridge home damaged

The Orion Township Fire Department and Oakland County Sheriff’s Department were called to a home on Pleasant Ridge when a fire broke out there around 2:30 p.m. on April 25. According to an OCSD report, a 62-year-old homeowner Edward Justin said he and his wife and son were doing yard work when he saw smoke coming from a back room. He went inside to rescue the family dogs and heard window panes breaking from the heat. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire, which caused extensive damage to the roof. A fire investigator was requested to help determine the fire’s point of origin and a possible cause.
