On the scorching afternoon of Wednesday, June 1, local merchants, farmers, and artisans took to the field behind Children’s Park to peddle their homemade wares to downtown Lake Orion.
Despite the low amount of advertising, a healthy number of patrons showed to explore the summer themed outlets.
Tracy Woodrum, Administrative Coordinator for Lake Orion’s DDA, offered one more opportunity available as well.
‘Any youth organizations or anyone who is interested in doing some fund-raising is invited to bring water down to the event,? said Woodrum. ‘While we’ll cap the cost of the water at one dollar, those selling it can keep everything and won’t be charged to open a stand.
Woodrum can be reached for further information at (248) 693-9742.
The market will happen every Wednesday until Sept. 28.
