Brandon Twp – Olen and Mossie Luckadoo sustained minor injuries when they collided with a family in a mini van on Baldwin at Seymour Lake Road at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 19.
The Oxford couple, were transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac after Luckadoo turned into the mini van, which according to witnesses, was traveling north on Baldwin. Luckadoo was cited for turning into the van while completing a turn east onto East Seymour Lake Road.
At the time of the mishap no traffic light exists at the intersection.
However recently the Michigan Department of Transportation issued an order for placement of traffic lights at both Baldwin and eastbound Seymour Lake roads in Oxford Township. In addition, a light will be installed at Baldwin and westbound Seymour Lake roads, in Brandon Township.
Although the van was severely damaged, Erika Bush of Clarkston, and her three children were uninjured in the crash. All three children were properly secured in their seats at the time of the accident.
Brandon Fire Chief, Bob McArthur said Bush was treated by paramedics and medically released at the scene.
