It was a night of many victories on Friday.
Before the gridiron heroes kicked off their game against Lake Orion, Clarkston High School Athletic Director Dan Fife and Assistant Principal Josh LaMay presented a check for $17,725 to Carrie Wheeler, from McLaren Cancer Institute – Clarkston and McLaren Breast Center, and Football for a Cure Co-Chair Erika Heaton.
The money was raised during the seventh annual Football for a Cure, the Clarkston Varsity Football’s pre-season scrimmage, Aug. 15.
With help from the community the Wolves raised the money to be used for patients at McLaren Cancer Institute and McLaren Breast Center. All of the proceeds go to gas and grocery cards for patients to help them during their treatments.
