The Lake Orion boys won the OAA Red Division league cross country meet last week, while the girls were second overall as the teams prepare this weekend for state regional competition at Anchor Bay.
The Dragons finished second in the league standings behind Rochester Adams, who won due to their performances in earlier jamborees.
In the final league meet, Lake Orion was healthy and senior Andrew Lorant, won the event in a time of 15:44. Lorant missed an earlier jamboree due to illness.
The Dragons won the league meet easily with 48 points. Adams had 57. In addition to Lorant’s win, also getting all-league honors were Matthew Arenz, Jacob Arenz and Jack Everts.
In the girls? meet, all league honors went to Emily Fluent, Bellina Gaskey, Allison Sherman and Rachel Zeile.
Fluent finished seventh for the Dragons, who have steadily improved this season. Gaskey was 11th and Sherman was 13th.
