Joe Hildebrand joins the ranks of Sherman Publications heading up the Advertiser and he brings with him a passion for the community and an experience level to back it up.
He officially started December of last year to continue the Advertiser and it’s reach of 25,000 homes.
‘Working for Sherman Publications has been a lot of fun. I’m meeting lots of new clients, some I already knew through my Lions Club activities’and some from living in the community for almost 20 years.?
Hildebrand brings with him 27 years advertising experience working with The Oakland Press? advertising division handling inside sales. He then transferred’to the marketing department as promotions manager in 2000.
Not only does Hildebrand have the experience, he’s also an active member in the community. He’s been involved with the Lions Club for 12 years and he’s coordinated downtown’s Jubilee for several years.
The 20-year Lake Orion resident says there’s something very unique about the Lake Orion community and its desire to help people.
‘It’s community that cares about itself and they’re always there to help when needed,? he said. ‘They support community events and are always there to participate in fun activities.?
Hildebrand is originally from New York City and relocated to Michigan in 1981. He got involved with community service through the Jaycees in Pontiac then joined the Lake Orion Lions Club in 2004.
He’s hoping to continue the reach of the Advertiser and build its reader base.
‘In order for me to succeed my clients need to succeed, so my job is to help them’grow their business. In the end I hope that we both succeed,? Hildebrand said. ?
