Goodrich— Goodrich High School senior Shayla Hukill, was named Athlete of the Month for May.
Hukill completed the 2023 Goodrich Varsity Tennis season with a perfect 9-0 record, winning every match. The only loss came in regional competition to Nortre Dame Prep.
Hukill has played tennis competitively for about 10 years and at Goodrich High School her senior year. She will attend the University of Michigan-Flint to study computer engineering. She attributes her success to Goodrich Coach Chris Hall and Coach Art Grundy at Ascension Genesys Health Club.
She is the daughter of Julianna and Bill Hukill of Goodrich.
