Goodrich Girls Powerlifting delivers at 2023 USA nationals

Myrtle Beach S.C. — On March 29-30, high school athletes from all across the country, including Goodrich traveled to the Grand Strand for the USA Powerlifting High School Nationals competition.
The competition features 700 athletes that compete in heavy lifting squats, bench press, and deadlift. The athlete that lifts the most combines weight from the three movements is the champion.
GHS Varsity Powerlifter Junior Evelyn Edenburn finished second in the 100k (220 pound) weight class with a 370 pound squat;165 pound bench press and a 385 pound deadlift for a total of 920 pounds. Evelyn is only the second girl from Goodrich to cross the 900 pound plateau.
Goodrich Junior Varsity Powerlifter Freshman Kyleigh Randall won the USPL JV Nationals with a 165 pound squat;110 pound bench press and a 275 pound deadlift for a total of 617 pounds.
