On March 14 the Groveland Township Board of Trustees announced two paving projects for 2016.
About a mile and half of Groveland Road from Jossman Road east to M-15 will be treated with a single shot of asphalt binder followed by aggregate evenly spread so it is only one stone thick.
Also this summer, about two miles of Grange Hall Road from Jossman Road east to M-15 will receive the traditional asphalt overlay.
The Surface Transportation Program, which provides flexible funding that may be used by states and localities for projects on any federal-aid highway, will cover the cost of the projects.
Township Supervisor Bob DePalma said that Tripp Road between Grange Hall Road and Dixie Highway has deteriorate too far for resurfacing.
“The Road Commission for Oakland County suggested a total rebuilding project for Tripp Road may begin as early as 2018,” said DePalma.
