Icers’ winning streak continues

The Green and White extended their win streak last night, defeating the Farmington Unified team in a dramatic overtime game, 4-3.
Jake Kruetizer started the scoring in the first period when he pinched in from the point and took a pass from Justin McKelvey with only four ticks left in the period.
In the second period Danny Blascak fed a pass near his own goal all the way to the Unified blue line where Nick Balavich skated alone on the goal tender and buried the shots. Although the Dragons dominated play in the second period, they found themselves tied after two periods.
The game appeared to have been won when Brad Bogus passed from behind the net to Daniel Chappie for the third goal. However, Farmington managed to send the game into overtime with a goal with only a couple minutes remaining.
In the eight minute overtime period, the Dragons capitalized as Jesse Cameron fed a brilliant backhand pass over to Zach Koonce who slid the puck in for the game ending goal.
