John Arthur “Butch” Ward, Sr. of Clarkston died July 11, 2016.

He was 72.

Born March 22, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late John Robert and Ruby Lucille (nee: Ritchson) Ward. He married the former Connie Metcalf on June 15, 1968 in Curtis, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; two children, John Arthur Ward, Jr. and Sirena (Gary) Phillips; four grandchildren, Blake Edgington, Martin Urbin IV, Sean and Keira Ward; two sisters, Barbara Ann (Jim) Blanchard and Diana Lynn (Jim) Elliott; he was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Ward.

Butch was employed by GM Fisher Body and retired out of BOC-Orion.

A memorial visitation was held July 15 at Village Funeral Home, Ortonville.
