Kick starting M-15 Moto-Sports

Brandon Twp.- When Brett Parent was about 9-years-old he begin riding dirt bikes.
While his passion for the sport continued his career took him in a slightly different direction spending about 30 years employed as a Ford Motor Company technician.
Parent, had always toyed with the idea of opening a parts and accessories store as a way, he says, to give back to the sport he loved.
So last month Parent, 45, opened M-15 Moto-Sports, 1581 S. Ortonville Road, ‘to fill a void in the service area,? he says.
‘There’s nothing better than mixing it up on the dirt track or racing wide open on a trail in the snow.?
‘It’s a family sport and there are a lot of locals who ride motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles locally.?
The business includes motorcycle, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobile, parts and accessories. They also carry XR50s Mods and BBR.
‘The response has been great,? says Parent. People don’t have far to go now to find parts for the bikes, snowmobiles or any ATV for that matter.?
Future plans for the store includes seeking a franchise such as Honda and expanding into service work at even a larger location. And, while the current emphasis at M-15 Moto-Sports remains on suppling parts and accessories, Parent also looks to new trends in the industry, including sponsoring an ‘Extreme 50 cc.?
