Letters to the editor December 14, 2019

(In response to “Hometown Heroes,” The Citizen, Dec. 7, page 3.)
Thank you heroes
Dear Editor,
I particularly enjoyed reading about the ‘Hometown Heroes’ in the Dec. 7, 2019 edition of The Citizen.
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Corey Klenow since he was a youngster and can attest to his willingness to help and care for others. He is a true team player and will make sure his unit and his country are safeguarded in the Middle East. In addition to Corey, I applaud Avery and Ethan for their dedication and service. Additionally, I know there are many more enlisted individuals in our community who are putting their lives on the line to make sure we are protected at home. Hopefully, we will be able to read more about them in future issues of The Citizen. As a community and a nation, we are truly blessed to have these dedicated young men and women making sacrifices every day to keep us safe.

Thank you Groveland
township, fire department
Dear Editor,
Recently, I had a medical issue and was transported to the hospital. The Groveland Township Fire Department paramedics did an outstanding, professional job.
Groveland Township elected officials have studied ours and other fire departments. They have done outstanding studies and public presentations to effect potential changes to improve efficiencies.
That being said, we should be pleased to have the duly elected officials run the township and the fire department doing what they do best.
