Hannah’s Legacy Foundation
Dear Editor,
The Hannah’s Legacy Foundation would like to thank the 100 golfers and 125 dinner guests that attended our 4th annual golf outing and dinner that took place on June 21 at the Davison Country Club.
The generosity of the sponsors, golfers, and the community raised over $20,000.
We would also like to recognize the volunteers that helped with registration and at the prize holes.
The money raised will fund scholarships for deserving Goodrich students and other worthy community needs.
Our goal is to carry on all the good Hannah did in her life and through the foundation we are accomplishing this.
We hope to see all of you again next year! Thank you VERY MUCH!

We give it a D-
Dear Editor
I’m usually not one to complain, but we live on Hummer Lake Road and over the past year the road maintenance has been exceptionally poor. The road commission lets it deteriorate horribly. Then, when they finally get around to grading it, they set the blade so shallow it falls apart again in only a few days.
This past Winter the ubiquitous potholes were so deep that when your car rocked back and forth you almost got hit in the head by the side glass. And oncoming drivers had to weave so much to avoid potholes, they looked like they’d been over-served somewhere.
Then after the Spring grading the road turned to washboard within 3 days, so bad that it shook the fillings out of your teeth, and the welds out of your car frame.
The road commission says it’s against the law to grade your own road, but that doesn’t stop us. We give it a D-.
