Martians split twin bill against New Lothrop

In their first action back from Easter break, the Martians had to settle for a split decision against a Genesee Area Conference foe.
The Martians dropped the first game of a twin bill against host New Lothrop April 19, losing to the Hornets 4-3 before rallying to win the second game 9-4.
In the first game, the Hornets scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Martians. However, Goodrich rallied in the nightcap behind Tara Garman, who had two hits and two RBI. The Martians used a five-run fifth inning to capture the win.
The Martians return to action April 26 when they travel to Genesee for a 4 p.m. contest.
