Motorcyclist injured in M-15 crash

At 12:59 p.m., July 15, Brandon deputies along with the Brandon Township Fire Department responded to a motorcycle-automobile crash on North Ortonville Road near Wolfe Road. A 2002 Honda VT750 was traveling southbound on N. Ortonville Road when the operator, a 38 year old Oxford Township resident, collided with a Buick Enclave that was making a left turn from a commercial driveway. The motorcyclist was knocked to the ground and suffered a head injury. Deputies from the OCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to assist with the crash investigation.
The motorcyclist was transported by paramedics to Genesys Health Park where he is listed in serious condition as of Sunday. No helmet was worn at the time of the crash. The 79 year old driver of the Buick Enclave and his 76 year old wife, both of Fairgrove, Mi. were both wearing their seatbelts and were not injured. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
