New in 51st District, Rep. Mike Mueller

On Jan. 9, State Representative Mike Mueller (R-51st District) received the oath of office for his first term.Mueller oath of office
The 51st District, includes Argentine, Atlas, Clayton, Fenton, Flushing, and Gaines townships, and the cities of Linden and Fenton in Genesee County along with Groveland, Holly, and Rose townships in Oakland County. Mueller replaces former State Rep. Joe Graves who stepped down due to term limits.
In the November general election Mueller received 26,874 votes (60 percent) to Democrat David Lossing’s 18,008 (40 percent).
Mueller, 43, is a lifelong resident of Fenton Township and 1992 Linden High School and 1999 Eastern Michigan University graduate. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran, earning the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Mueller served as a deputy sheriff for 18 years.
