REYNOLDS, ORLEY “GENE” of Mayville, Michigan formerly of Ortonville; went to be with his Lord on October 12, 2021. He was 93.

Orley was born September 30, 1928 in Piggott, Arkansas to the late James Floyd and Pansy (nee: Riddle) Reynolds. He married the late Ruth Lyles on January 8, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2009. He is survived by five children, Robert (Doris) Reynolds, Ed (Sue) Reynolds, Tom (Sue) Reynolds, Roger (Deci) Reynolds and Barbara (Edward) Goemaere; one brother, Raymond Reynolds; one sister, Gladys (Rick) Wiltse; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; Orley was preceded in death by his three brothers, Joseph D. Reynolds, Alvin D. Reynolds and James Reynolds; one sister, Grace Towner.  Orley drove the church bus for 38 years and was a custodian for 18 years at the church.  He delivered Meals on Wheels as a volunteer.  He also drove for the Cancer Society by taking patients for treatment.  Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME, 135 South Street, Ortonville, Michigan.   Pastor Ben Gonzales, officiating.  Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery, Flint.  Family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Edna Burton Senior Center.
