On June 1, Brandon High School Sophomore, Gaven Stamper shot 81 at Huron Meadows Golf Course in Brighton during the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 Regional. Enroute to his 81 Stamper scored his first ace/hole-in-one on the 142 yard seventh hole. He made the shot with a 9 iron. Huron Meadows awarded Stamper a pin flag, certificate and his name on a plaque at the clubhouse.
Blackhawk Head Coach Jayson Rumball, along with other witnessed the shot. It was a first for Stamper and the first for Rumball in eight years as head coach at Brandon.
