North Branch— The Ortonville Brandon Track and Field teams competed in their MHSAA Region 19-2 at North Branch High School on May 17.  Both Girl and Boys Track and Field teams finished 12th out of the 15 team field.
Boys results:
Pole vault, Corgon Barkiewicz, fourth (10 -9).
“New of PR for Corgon his season will continue at the Freshmen Oakland County meet,” said Coach Wesley Diener.
•Shot put, Will Smith 15th (37-04.50).
•Discus, Will Smith 15th (106-01) and Gavin Rochester 22nd.
•Long jump, S’Bastian Taylor 11th new PR (18-05), and Andres Huertra 22nd PR (16-02).
•100 meters, Ethan Yang, 24th (13.64) and Calvin Oles 27th.
•200 meters, Luke Stein, 4th medal (24.96).
•400 meters Corgen Barkiewicz 21st (57.73) and Calvin Oles 27th.
•800 meters, Jacob Hylton 2nd (2:02.4) state qualifier and Gabe Hubbard 22nd. (2:25.89).
•1,600 meters, Gabe Hubbard 21st (5:35.63) and Alex Burch, 25th(6:08.98). “The running conditions were tough,” said Diener.
•3,200 meters, Chase Compau 15th to PR, and Connor Krajenke 22nd, breaking 12 minutes.
•110 meter hurdles, Chris McCombs 13th(20.34) and Kaiden Ballard prelims 15th.
•300 meter hurdles, Andrew Zoch fourth (42.77). “The conditions were tough to medal,” said Diener. Alex Avila13th.
•4×400 meter relay, Zach, Hylton, Avila, and Stein eighth to medal (3:46.06).
•4×800 meter relay, Wychyuse, Hubbard, Savoie, and Compau 13th (10:03.85).
Girls results:
•Shot put, Hanna Pardon 13th (29-08) and Lilly Mastin 27th (22-07).
•Discus, Hanna Pardon 7th to medal (90-01), and Lilly Mastin 25th (55-07).
•High jump, Marin Painter fourth (4 feet-9 inches).
•Long jump, Emma Mulcahey sixth (14-05)
•100 meters, Emma Mulcahey 17th (15.00) “All sprint races were run into a 20 mile an hour head wind,” said Wesley.
•200 meters, Amelia Quick (33.62).
•400 meters, Sadie Buell 28th (1:20.85).
•800 meters, Aquetzalli Hernandez 20th (2:55.73) and Addison Hollenbeck 27th(3:10.73).
•1,600 meters, Clara Mackey 11th (5:58.50) and Addison Hollenbeck 27th. (6:53.15).
•3,200 meters, Clara Mackey eighth (13:00.40).
•100 meters hurdles, Sadie Buell 21st (23.92 prelims).
