Education: 1.25 years of college.
Occupation: Current Groveland Township supervisor.
Government-related experience: Six years chairman of Groveland Township Board of Zoning Appeals;16 years chairman of the Groveland Planning Commission and 20-plus years as Groveland Township supervisor
Why are you running for office? To continue to improve the quality of life issues, keep taxes down and improve roads. To continue to look for non-traditional ways to fund township needs with out tax increases, and provide cost saving for our residents.
What is your plan to help improve the township’s economic condition? Keep taxes low, bring in the new ORV/Outdoor Adventure Park, develop the township property.
Where do you stand on shared services with other townships or villages?
Whenever possible I supportshared services, but only if they benefit our residents.
What do you envision for Groveland Township in four years?A major new park project, and an opportunity to review our master plan with our residents.

Occupation: Treasurer since 2008;trustee from 1992 to 2008; horse farm manager since 1982. Volunteer and former VP and recording secretary Oakland County Fair since 1997. Past 1st VP OCCMTA.

Township treasurer 7 1/2 yrs.; township trustee 16 ½ yrs.; federal mine safety inspector 2 years.
Why are you running for office? Protect the assets of the township; work towards new MABAS contracts to bring the statewide emergency response equipment and responders to Groveland Township and see to conclusion the ORV Adventure Park.
What is your plan to help improve the township’s economic condition? Work with elected officials
and community to maintain balanced budget and bring Oakland County-State Adventure Park to Groveland with new businesses
following.
If elected, what will be your top priority in office? Remaining debt-free through sound economic development and environmental protection.
Where do you stand on shared services with other townships or villages?
Continue to maintain the Holly Village fire and ambulance contracts and support others that are financially beneficial to all parties to the agreements.
What do you envision for Groveland Township in four years?
Improved property values and additional businesses to increase the tax base while remaining debt free and having sufficient fund balances to meet future needs.

Name: Pamela Mazich (I) (R)
Age: 69
Years in Township: Moved to Groveland Township September 1977
Occupation: Master municipal clerk since Sept.14, 2010; Clerk elected January2000 (deputy clerk appointed 1988) 28 years.

No prior government related experience.
Why are you running for office?
Groveland Townshipis my home and I want to see the goals we have set for the township completed and BGYA – KIDS FIRST continue to build a strong program for our youth.
What is your plan to help improve the township’s economic condition?
Maintain revenue stream, bring in new revenue,be a watchdog over our current budget.
If elected, what will be your top priorityin office? Complete goals we have set, ORV park, master plan update and development of the Dixie Highway corridor.
What is your plan to help improve the township’s economic condition?
When I retire I want to know that I have left the office of the clerk in the best condition and that I have served my residents to the standards they expected of me.
Where do you stand on shared services with other townships or villages?
Shared services is a benefit to us and other townships. It is through partnerships that we will achieve a better way of life and save valuable tax dollars.
What do you envision for Groveland Township in four years? The ORV Park will be up and running, Dixie Highway corridor will be in the beginning stages of bringing in new business, have the funding to maintain a strong andsustainable tax revenue stream.

Name: Dale Cason (I) (R)
Years in Township: 13
Education: Law enforcement at U of D Mercy Aviation- Flight Safety International.
Occupation: Retired from 34 years of law enforcement.Retired professional pilot.
Government-related experience: I have been on the zoning and appeal board for six years and a trustee since 2012.I am
currently on the committee to develop the Dixie Highway corridor.
Why are you running for office? To continue my public service from 34 years of law enforcement to public service in township government and to make Groveland Township an even better place to live, visit and do business.
What is your plan to help improve the township’s economic condition?
My continued plan is to work closely with other board members to improve the township. To use innovative ideas to create additional revenues streams to pay for township expenses to avert any need for increased taxes.
If elected, what will be your top priority in office? Work with fellow board members to maintain current taxes, finalize
the Adventure Park, improve road conditions, develop the Dixie Highway corridor and enhance public safety.
Where do you stand on shared services with other townships or villages?
It is imperative that we work with our neighboring townships and villages, including State Police and Oakland County Sheriff to ensure safety and security at a reasonable cost.
What do you envision for Groveland Township in four years?
The completion of the Adventure Park, the development of the Dixie Highway corridor, new paving and road improvements
and a continued financially stable township.

Name: Merilyn McGee (R)
Age: 77
Education: Healds Business, San Jose Ste, Maryland Fire Academy, continuous update of fire science, emergency medical,
suicide prevention, chaplain.
Occupation: Retired Groveland Township fire chief. I have continued as liaison/ chaplain. Best previous occupation was
raising four children.
Government-related
experience: I joined Groveland Fire Department in 1974. I volunteered as firefighter/secretary and was appointed fire
chief in 1985. The goal was having the most trained and compassionate people on myteam.
Why are you running for office?
I miss being actively involved. I have the experience and the knowledge of our township to again be of service to this community.
What is you plan to help improve the
township’s economic condition?
I enjoy creative thinking and circumstances change constantly. My goal is to have Groveland remain rural/recreation but
enhanced by business’ that not only bring in tax dollars but are compatible with our community.
If elected, what will be you top priority in office?
That when my tenure is complete; our citizens will know that I made every decision based on fairness, facts and compassion.
Where do you stand on shared services with other townships and villages?
Shared services can save money. That’sgood. However each circumstance is unique and must be “win-win” for each to be successful. Groveland has a successful relationship with Holly Village sharing with ALS (advanced life support) initiated
in 2007. A management agreement was reached in 2008. This was the first,
and still very successful agreement in the state!
What do you envision for Groveland Township in four years?
A community that will be proud to have people know us for our leadership, beautiful country, excellent emergency services
and hopefully better roads!
