NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

JULY 18, 2016 AT 5:30 P.M.

PART OF THE LAKE SHINANGUAG HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

FOR PARCELS ON HILLS LANE, HILLS COVE,

ISLAND DRIVE AND PARCELS DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO STATE RD.

FOR REPAVING/PAVING REPAIRS

TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ATLAS, GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE,

in accordance with PA 188 of 1954, the Township Board will consider the creation of a special assessment district comprised of parcels with lineal frontage of Hills Lane, Hills Cove and Island Drive for repaving the above described roads including any necessary driveway approach and culvert work.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE,

the proposed District, which includes all parcels with frontage on Hills Lane, Hills Cove, and Island Drive, and driveways using said roads and proposed to be assessed are more specifically identified by the following addresses:

Hills Lane:

10483, 10443, 11100, 10476, 10800, 10835, 10463, 10490, 10527, 10400, 10394, 10390, 10370, 10381, 10391.

Hills Cove:

9301, 9325, 9307, 9313, 9319, 9280, 9276, 9266, 9298, 9310, 9360, 9330, 9320, 9350.

Island Drive:

9442, 9353, 9323, 9422, 9410, 9400, 9454, 9438, 9326, 9430, 9350, 9333, 9435.

State Rd:

9384, 9406.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE,

a Public Hearing upon such Petitions and road repaving/repairs cost estimates will be held at the Atlas Township Hall located at 7386 S. Gale Road, PO Box 277, Goodrich, MI. 48438, commencing at 5:30 p.m. on July 18, 2016.

At such hearing, the Board will consider comments and any written objections to any of the foregoing matters which might be filled with said Board, at or prior to the time of said Hearing, and consider whether to create said district, review any corrections, amendments, or changes to Petitions, Estimates and Costs or to said Special Assessment District.

All interested persons are invited to be present at the aforesaid time and place and to submit comments concerning any of the foregoing matters. Anyone unable to attend the meeting can send their written comments, or objections to: Atlas Township Clerk’s Office, 7386 S. Physically challenged persons needing assistance, or aid at the public hearings should contact the Township Clerk during regular business hours not less than seventy two (72) hours prior to the meeting. The regularly scheduled Township Board meeting will immediately follow the Public Hearing.
