The Hadley Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the 5th day of July 2011 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hadley Township Office Building located at 4293 Pratt Rd, Hadley MI, 48440.
The purpose of the public hearing will be to consider the application by Lapeer County Emergency Management Services for permission to construct a 250? self-supported tower, concrete shelter, fenced compound and access road; tax parcel Id # 010-028-013-00. The subject property is located on the Northwest corner of Fox Lake Road and Hadley Road (known as the Lutheran Cemetery) and is zoned A/R (Agricultural/Residential).
All interested persons are encouraged to attend the public hearing to ask questions or to make comments as to the application. Written comments may be submitted to the Hadley Township Clerk at P.O. Box 227, Hadley MI, 48440 at any time prior to the public hearing.

All Hadley Township polling (voting) places have been moved for all future elections. All residents with a physical address located on the East side of Hadley Rd are considered Precinct 1. Your former polling place was The Old Town Hall. You will now vote at the new Township Office Building located at 4293 Pratt Rd. just East of Hadley Rd. on Pratt Rd. for ALL elections.

Moved to approve the agenda with the addition of fund investments for the Fire Department and First Responders.
Moved to suspend the reading of minutes and approve the June 10, 2008 minutes, and the June 19, 2008 budget meeting minutes.
Moved to approve the Treasurer’s report.
Moved to hire Brent Huggler as a probationary firefighter and Dawn Cruze as a First Responder
Moved to increase salaries of Firefighters and First Responders.
Moved to appoint election workers for the August 5, 2008 election. Sandy Eddie(chair)(D), Sharon Polk?, Jennifer VanDam?, Nora Hummel(D) and Phyllis Rickabus(D) to work at Precinct 1; Sharon Galbreath(Chair)?, Kathy Green?, Carol Witulski(D) and Kim Hill? at Precinct 2.

The Hadley Township Board will hold a budget meeting which will be open to the public. The topic for the meeting will be to discuss the proposed Township Budget for the fiscal year 2008-2009. There will be an additional agenda item, which is to clarify motion 08-038, made at the May 13, 2008 meeting concerning roads. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the November 8, 2005 Special Election will be held in the Township of Hadley, County of Lapeer, State of Michigan, on
TUESDAY , NOVEMBER 8, 2005
AT THE PLACE OR PLACES OF HOLDING THE ELECTION IN SAID TOWNSHIP AS INDICATED BELOW.
The purpose of said November 8, 2005 Special Election is for voting on the following proposition:
MEDICAL FIRST RESPONDERS RENEWAL PROPOSITION
Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on the general ad valorem taxes in Hadley Township, reduced by the required rollback to .4301 mills, be renewed at .4301 mills (43.01 cents per $1,000.00 of taxable value) for a period of five (5) years, from 2005 through 2009 inclusive, for the purpose of funding the Medical First Responder operations in Hadley Township? The renewal would result in estimated revenue of $85,848.28 in the first year of renewal.

TOWNSHIP OF HADLEY
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT POLICE PROTECTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be conducted by the Hadley Township Board at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th day of October 2004 at the Hadley Township Hall, 4293 Pratt Road, Hadley, Michigan. The purpose of the public hearing will be to consider a proposal for the establishment of a special assessment district to provide police protection, to consider the estimated costs and expenses, and to consider the question of defraying the expenses by special assessment.
The proposed special assessment district will include all properties within Hadley Township.
Please take notice that an owner or party in interest in property or his or her agent may appear in person at the hearing to protest the special assessment district or may file his or her appearance or protest by letter and his or her personal appearance shall not be required. Please take further notice that appearance and protest at the hearing is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the State Tax Tribunal.
Please take further notice that an owner or any person having an interest in the property may file a written appeal of the special assessment with the State Tax Tribunal within thirty (30) days after the confirmation of the special assessment roll if the special assessment was protested at the hearing to be held for the purpose of confirming the roll.
This public hearing will be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Public Act 33 of 1951, as amended, and Public Act No. 162 of 1962, as amended.
After the conclusion of the public hearing, a decision will be made by the Township Board whether or not to establish a special assessment district determining the boundaries of the district, and whether or not to approve the estimate of costs and expenses of the district.
