Local to compete at KTM Junior Supercross

San Diego — On Jan. 20, Luke Mink, a third grade student at Harvey Swanson Elementary will compete in the KTM Junior Supercross along with 15 other racers at Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego.
The event ran during select professional Supercross races, provides  7 and 8 year olds the chance to be treated like a professional Supercross rider for the day. After a lengthy application process riders are chosen at random from entries world wide.
Mink has been riding and racing for three years. In 2022 he was the state and district champion in the 50cc class and runner up in the 50JR class in the state and district. This year he finished eighth in the 50cc Open class in the district.
