Brandon Twp.- The township is looking for nominating petitions for a partial term trustee seat.
The trustee who’s term is coming to a close is Scott Broughton, who was appointed for a partial, two year term in Feb. 2016 by a 5-1 vote by the township board. The seat was originally held by Liz Waters, who was elected then moved out of the township before taking an oath of office. The election will be held Aug. 7.
To run, a candidate must file a partisan nominating petition and an Affidavit of identity with the Brandon Township Clerk’s office, 395 Mill St., Ortonville.
All nominating petitions must be filed no later than 4 p.m. on April 24. Call 248-627-2851 with any questions or concerns.
