Atlas Twp.-On Wednesday morning a township family enduring an inconceivable loss joined friends and family for a celebration of their daughters life.
Hundreds gathered at Bethany Baptist Church, 2353 E. Grand Blanc Road, Grand Blanc for Corinn Linkowski, 18, who lost control of her Saturn on snowy M-15 near Coolidge Road in the pre-dawn hours of Feb. 13. A GMC pickup truck driven by a 27 year old man was southbound struck Corinn’s vehicle. Following the crash she was transported to Ascension Genesys Hospital in critical condition.
She died on Feb. 17.
“My Corinnie is with Jesus and every time I’m down and ask for prayer God gives me grace and strength,” said Tamara, her mother in a Facebook post. Thank you all so much for you love and prayer and support.”
Corinn was also an organ donor. On Tuesday afternoon hospital staff, friends and family lined the hall of the intensive care unit at Ascension Genesys Hospital for the Walk of Honor. The Gift of Life provides much-needed hope to someone else in need.
“Please pray for all the receptions that will be receiving Corinns organs,” Tamara added. “The life she lived and will be continuing to live through these other individuals. Pray specifically for these recipients that their bodies do not reject the transplant once it takes place”
Corinn is survived by nine siblings.
