Michael Via, 17, a Brandon High School Senior recently scored in the top 200 of 35,874 high school students statewide on the Pre-SAT. The exam is given to students prior to the standard SAT, a pre-college exam.
Via currently maintains a 3.991 grade point average and plans on attending Michigan Technological University in Houghton Mich. to study Chemical Engineering. In addition Via had played freshman and junior varsity football for Brandon until an injury sidelined him. He is currently a semifinalist for the National Merit Scholarship awarded in January 2005.
