Ortonville- The village and Teamsters Local 214 representing the Ortonville Department of Public Works employees reached a tentative agreement Jan. 25.
‘We have reached an agreement on all issues and as soon as the document is ratified, we will be free to give a joint statement with the village,? said Local 214 trustee Les Barrett.
The document is currently being drafted by Rick Fanning, the village attorney, and will need to be ratified by the three DPW employees, as well as the village council.
‘We have agreed not to give any information about the content,? Barrett said. ‘It is an agreement and recommended by both bargaining teams to their respective constituents.?
Village Manager Ed Coy confirmed a tentative agreement had been reached and would need to be ratified.
