Those interested in running for a seat on the Oxford Board of Education have until 4 p.m. Monday, April 12 to file nominating petitions for the June 14 school election. (See public notice on page 18B.)
Two trustee seats, each carrying four-year terms, are up for grabs.
Nominating petitions must have a minimum of 40 signatures from registered school district voters.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, a Michigan resident for at least 30 days, and a resident of the school district on or before the 30th day prior to the date of the election. Property ownership is not a requirement for candidacy.
