The traffic survey to review the speed limit on N. Oxford Rd. (south of Ray Road, between the middle school and village limits) originally scheduled for April 16 was cancelled.
Oxford Township Supervisor Bill Dunn said he was informed April 15 that the representative from the Michigan State Police would not be able to attend. No new survey date and time has been scheduled as of yet. ‘As soon as I know, I’ll let the newspaper and the public know,? Dunn said.
The Oxford Township Board last week voted unanimously to ‘request that the State lower the speed limit on N. Oxford Road from Ray Road to the village limits (from 50) to 35 miles per hour because of the school and other development.?
