Steven Schultz, a kindergartner at Stadium Elementary School of the Arts, won an ‘Award of Excellence? at the National PTA Reflections level.
This was the first time Schultz could enter the program and he was very excited to be able to do so. His entry was one of three ‘Awards of Excellence? in the primary photography division at the state level.
Schultz’s photograph, titled, Happy When Catching Snowflakes on My Tongue, was the only entry in that age division to be chosen by the state to continue on to the national level.
This is the first time Stadium has had a student go on to nationals. Schultz is invited to the Michigan State PTA Convention on May 1, where he’ll be recognized and awarded a Bronze Reflections medallion. He’s receiving a $200 cash award and a silver-plated Reflections Program medallion at the national level.
