The Village of Lake Orion’s Downtown Coordinator, Becky Goodman, recently learned the village was not chosen to receive a Cool Cities Catalyst grant.
She said the communities that were chosen were all technically cities and they were of considerable population.
‘The projects that are being funded are truly very ‘cool? projects such as ice rinks, museums, artist lofts,? she added.
According to Goodman, a review session is being offered in August and members of the village’s Cool Commission are planning to attend. The members wanted to be at the session so they would be better prepared if they wanted to apply for another grant.
