Angels for Angela is planning a pancake breakfast for Angela Sights Guenther on Sunday, Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gingellville Community Center.
Angela, 27, is a former Lake Orion Dragon basketball, softball and volleyball player. In 1999, she was diagnosed with Malignant Metastatic Melanoma. Since her diagnosis, she has had more than 40 surgical procedures, radiation and years of intensive drug therapies including ICU treatments.
The disease continues to rage throughout her body. The breakfast will raise funds to help offset the expenses related to a series of new treatments, future treatment and the mountain of medical expenses already accrued. The cost of the breakfast is $1 per person. (Donations are appreciated.) The Gingellville Community Center is located at 1801 Waldon Road in Orion Township.
